Did you know? The American Association of Orthodontists recommendation for Orthodontic check-ups should be no later that age 7. There are several reasons for this examination:
- Incisors (the front teeth) have begun to erupt and problems can be detected such as crowding, habits, deep bites, open bites and some jaw discrepancies.
- For some, a timely evaluation will lead to significant treatment benefits; for others, the principal immediate benefit is a parent's peace of mind.
- After the initial evaluation your child will be put into the recall system and the doctors will see your child every 6 months to monitor growth and development. They will let you know when is the right time to begin Orthodontic treatment. These visits are complimentary until treatment is recommended.
